The history of the house is closely connected with the local winemaking tradition – the original property once housed a large oak wine press. Between 2021 and 2022, the property underwent an extensive restoration based on a design by architect Jan Veisser of ORA studio, with the aim of preserving the original atmosphere of the house while adapting it to contemporary use.
The character of the interior is defined by a combination of original elements and carefully selected natural materials: the preserved stone and marlstone masonry is complemented by approximately century-old marlstone flooring, larch doors, distinctive green-framed windows and a bespoke tiled stove. Attention was also paid to smaller details, including handmade switches. The exterior has likewise retained its natural historic character – during the restoration, parts of the façade were deliberately left in their original condition with exposed masonry.
The accommodation comprises six separate guest rooms with a total capacity of 14 guests. Five rooms are doubles and one is a quadruple room, with each room featuring its own bathroom with a shower and toilet. The capacity can be further increased through extra beds, cots or other occasional sleeping arrangements within the property.
