More information about the property

Sotheby's Int. Realty Czech Republic offers for sale a charming building called Brückner House in Prášily, set amidst the unspoilt nature of the Šumava National Park. The history of this property dates back to 1750 and is one of the last traditional timbered houses in this locality. The building underwent a complete reconstruction in 2009, retaining its original character of late Baroque farmhouses, including the gabled roof with dormers and or the brick base. The house can be used as a guest house or for private purposes for family recreation.

On the ground floor there is an entrance hall with storage space for bikes and skis, a caretaker's apartment with its own kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom, as well as a library, a spacious dining room and a separate kitchen.

The first floor is divided into 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and hallway with storage space. The total capacity on this floor is 10 beds.

In the attic there are 2 more rooms, also with private bathrooms and a capacity of 5 beds.

The basement of the building is partly designed as a relaxation area with a wine cellar, sauna with relaxation room and cooling shower, and a jacuzzi. Another part of the basement offers enough space for technical facilities and storage.

Parking is available directly in front of the house in a private parking lot.

Location - South Bohemia - Prášily

The history of the village of Prášily dates back to 1739, when the first residential houses were built here for the workers of the then glass factory. It was also an important location due to paper production. By the 1930s, however, all industry had disappeared here, and at present Prášily is a popular tourist location for hiking and cycling in the virgin nature of the Šumava National Park.
