More information about the property

Sotheby's Int. Realty Czech Republic offers for sale a castle, a historical monument with extensive land, in the Krkonoše foothills in the Trutnov district.

In addition to its exceptional historical value, the castle offers extensive land with a size of 5,400 m². The property is offered with a complete project from the architectural studio to the construction of a luxury hotel with 4 floors and a restaurant, where there will be 25 rooms and a spa center.

Originally a Gothic castle, it was first mentioned in historical documents in 1334. After 1555, the castle was rebuilt in a Renaissance style due to a fire. The castle is currently a two-story building with a rectangular plan with a polygonal facade on the south side and a monumental portal from 1730 on the south side.

The castle complex, which is located on top of a hill with a rock, is entered via a bridge over a moat, where there is an entrance gate leading directly to the courtyard, which is a remnant of the original Gothic castle. In the years 1848 - 1895, modifications were made in the romantic style and the castle park was established.
